Do not buy from this company. They are a dishonest company in my opinion. Purchased an item at one price, they canceled the order and raised the price by $100.

I was sceptical when reading some of the reviews, but I couldn't find the part I needed anywhere else. I'm glad I took the chance though. My item was shipped in the time frame they said it would, and it was the item pictured. I had nothing but a good experience with Impact.

Card was compromised after ordering from this company. This seems to be a common occurrence after reading other reviews. Beware.

The people who work here are informed, respectful and helpful. They gave me a free diagnostic and got back to me quickly the next day. They were unable to get the parts to help me because the laptop was so new, but they pointed me in the right direction to do so. I was fortunate to find this place, they are great.

Incredibly happy with my experience! Needed a screen for a very old ThinkPad, found one here. Did not receive a confirmation email, but the screen showed up on the porch a few days later in original IBM packaging and works flawlessly. A direct substitute part number for the original. Thanks all involved!

***Stealing credit card numbers!*** Ordered parts from them using a unique virtual credit card number in November 2021, one week later notified that that card had been fraudulently used. It was literally a week old credit card number and only used at this one company. I see another review saying the same thing in the past month. Someone at this company is stealing credit card numbers. Beware!

*DO NOT ORDER PARTS FROM THIS COMPANY* My card was compromised twice, both after ordering parts from this company. The support rep I spoke to via live chat also told me they just sit behind cubicles and couldn't help me. The first and last time I will use this sad excuse for a vendor. 1 star is too good for them.

I have had a great experience coming here and recommend for any laptop repairs or issues. My old laptop was damaged and he told me the repair was worth more than the price of the laptop and that he would buy my old laptop from me if I got a new one, and I ended up buying a new laptop and selling him my old one. Very fair price and great customer service!

I've increased the rating due to a phone call from Jose Nunez at Impact. He was very professional and understanding and did his best to remedy the situation, however I won't order again from this site. Thank you to Jose for reaching out and doing his best to represent Impact in a positive way vs the other 2 employees I had the unfortunate luck in dealing with.

Buyer beware! Worst company to deal with! Ordered a specific item online, the site stated was in stock. Chatted with a customer service rep to verify the item was in stock and I would receive the item ordered. When I received my order, it was not what I ordered. Tried chatting with Ralph, Sales Manager online and he was very rude and unprofessional.

Instead of admitting what they did was a bait in switch, he said things like "close your eyes and it's the same", it one company's "fruitloop product vs. another". Seriously?! Called the customer service line and spoke to some woman who didn't seem to care. Took asking her several times to answer my questions, which was, did they have the part in stock that I ordered? The answer is no, even though the site states it does. Be aware, they'll send you something that will work "good enough", but not what you order.

The gentlemen that run this business - and I do mean gentlemen - are fantastic. They were kind and informative and very helpful. I came in needing data transferred from one external hard drive (that I thought was faulty) to another new one. About 1/2 hour later, they called and said both were fine and that I could save myself the money by transferring the data myself. That's unheard of in today's world - where a business actually looks out for their customer.

And on my way out, I looked around at some of their refurbished computers and wow, the prices are amazing. These guys have all my future business and I will refer them to everyone!

I was skeptical about ordering from them initially but they had a great price for some batteries I needed. They arrived promptly and exactly at described so I won't hesitate to order from Impact again!

Had issues with my laptop screen and needed a new one. Walked in and ten minutes later I walked out with a working screen. Prices were considerably cheaper here than any other place I called

Craig is a good guy running a good business. He's helped me fix a few things, charging me a fair price for help and giving great advice for free. I wish I had a mechanic for my car that I trust like Craig for my computer. Based on 2-3 visits here for various things, I would never visit another computer repair business in Gainesville, and I'm already sad to lose Craig access when I eventually move.

Thank you for always treating me fairly and for your advice being worth trusting. I'm so grateful! Update from years later: the employee is great too! Like, excellent. For real, this is a 5* business. So 5* that I have to rethink my other 5* reviews. That good.

Excellent! service! A1 I order one wireless card, they sent me another one, as they mention on the web page, will ship something similar. in this case was a mistake, I was looking for a dual band wireless card and they sent me single band. Still the card was good and compatible with my Lenovo laptop. I contacted them, direct and via Paypal, we straight up the mistake they refund in full! my order and I had to keep the card they sent me.

Again went back and order another possible card, that they had in stock and compatible with my laptop. (Lenovo T540p). exchange couple of email before I order. Shipping next day same as before no issues. worked like a charm! I am in Canada and did not have to call them once all done via email. After I received the card and was able to connect to my 5Ghz network.

Canadian Customer: I needed a replacement monitor for an old laptop couldn't locate one in Canada at a reasonable price. Impact Computers & Electronics had a reconditioned one for less than US$100. I read some worrying reviews online but also some considered and detailed positive ones and decided to try. I had to call the help line when something glitched right at the end of the payment process and they were helpful and confirmed the order had been placed and the payment had gone through.

Everything else worked out well. The international shipping via Fedex makes the duty payments easy, they call you so that the package isn't delayed more than necessary at the border. The part arrived on time, was easy to install and works perfectly. Nice job. I will definitely use in future if I can't source parts locally.

Ralph and the team at Impact Computers were incredible. I placed an order and quickly received an update and check in from their team. A few days later I received another update while their business was stuck waiting for a new shipment of batteries to arrive. They gave me options and reordered for me when the new batteries came in. I then received another update about the shipping status and received responses to my emails (four of them) the same day I sent each one. It's hard to find good customer service like this nowadays and I wanted to make sure others knew just how much I appreciated the interactions and experience from Impact.

Needed a LCD that we couldn't find anywhere. Impact Computers & Electronics had what we needed for a great price. Shipped and arrived extremely fast and well packed. First screen had an issue so they sent me another one free and fast again. I was able to satisfy my customer quickly. Excellent service, we will be using this company again.

These people are lifesavers. I had a horribly tight deadline back in May of this year and of course you know what happens, my hard drive decides to die on me right before it's due. And because of the time crunch I had not backed things up as I should have. I called to beg for help with a horribly desperate voice and they told me to bring it over.

They were able to save my data and after asking a few questions about how I use my computer, found me an affordable replacement computer so I didn't have to go try to sort out what machine I needed to replace my dead computer. They worked hard and when some important documents were missing (the hard drive really had bit the dust) they went back and got the rest of my important data.

I am eternally grateful to these guys for being kind, patient, and helpful (and not judging me for not having backed up for a couple of weeks) I felt at ease and trusted them. The new machine they set up for me works beautifully and it's of course way faster than what I had. Love them and will happily bring any of my machines to them and buy my computers from them in the future.

And did I mention all the data recovery was free? Yes, I could not believe it, they did not charge for the recovery because I got the next computer (that I needed right away) from them. And they even saved my hard drive and gave it to me in case I needed to retrieve anything else. Highly highly recommend these guys.

I spilled water on my Macbook pro - surprisingly everything on the computer was running just fine except for the headphone jack - as water had gotten in there too. I took my computer to Impact immediately to try to replace a part or see what i could do about the broken sound. They recommended I turn my computer completely off for 2 days, and if nothing was fixed, come back to see them. I was shocked when I turned my computer on two days later and the speakers worked again! I will be going to Impact Computers for any future tech needs. Thank you!

My computer randomly wouldn't turn on the other day so I decided to Google some Computer Repair shops around town. After calling a shop that couldn't fix my computer they actually recommended Impact Computers to me. I called the shop and spoke to Craig who invited me to come in. Inside the shop was David (I believe that was his name) who greeted me extremely friendly.

He took a look at my computer and discovered that there was actually no problem at all. I took up about 20-30 mins of his time and they did not charge me a cent. Not to mention, he was extremely pleasant to talk to the entire time I was there. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend Impact Computers to anyone in the Gainesville area. To my fellow UF students - use this place. They're a small, honest, and real company and brand. - Kevin

I've used them several times. They are always speedy, efficient, helpful and very reasonably priced. A satisfied customer.

Impact computers helped me with a wet laptop. Their staff was friendly and inviting, which created a comfortable atmosphere that is difficult to find in many tech shops. Their expertise helped expedite the process and made what was shaping out to be a bad day into a good one. Thank you very much Impact Computers!

I haven't patronized this business, just contacted them via telephone a few times. Each time, Craig took time to answer my (newbie) questions and make recommendations when I asked for them. Because of that, I was able to remove and install a new hard-drive myself and get my computer up and running again. Although he may have lost a sale or repair charge, he gained a customer and good public relations.

Had a computer with a broken CPU on it. I had the new part, but got a little gun shy and didn't really want foo with it (it was my fault the CPU broke in the first place). I stopped in and Craig gladly installed the new CPU for me and didn't charge a thing for it. It was refreshing to actually see someone that wanted to be helpful.much appreciated! Next time anything tech related comes up -- I'll be giving Craig a call.

This place is a joke & a bunch of crooks! I took my laptop here for a quick diagnostic because it would no longer power on. After not hearing back from anyone for a few days I decided to go in person and inquire about the analysis. When I brought my work-order ticket in the employee behind the counter said it was not back in the workroom. "Uhhh, okay - what do you mean it's 'not there?!?' I just brought it in 3 days ago" "It may have been moved to our Newberry location, try there" (I guess calling for me was too much to ask).

I drove across town to the other location to speak to the manager - who told me he'd look into it and get back to me.a few more days pass. I drive in again only to get another run around. After quite a few trips out of my way to go in person for some answers I FINALLY get the "real story" (or at least the one they told the police so they could commit insurance fraud or whatever scam they were trying to pull).

Long story short, I guess an employee stole a bunch of laptops and disappeared. I kept getting the run-around for weeks before someone finally admitted their lack of control for other people's property.and the only reason I even got the manager to cough it up was because I went to the police station on my own time and asked if anyone had filed a police report recently against this place.

I had to do my own investigation and confront the business about it!.a few more weeks pass. I did everything short of actually taking this place to court. They never assumed liability, never really even took full blame, and never compensated me for MY property that was stolen while in THEIR possession.not even store credit for their absurdly overpriced merchandise.

I was flat out robbed from Impact Computers. So much for customer service. I've been out of Gvil for a while now so I don't even know if this place is still around, but if it is - please do yourself a favor and do not patronize this business.unless you want your property to mysteriously go missing and are SOL.

These guys bent over backwards to help me restore my computer back to good health. They are the best in town. Good prices and really nice guys.
