As I walked into this computer parts and repair shop, I was elated to see many high-end and popular parts in stock, prominently displayed on their shelves! To my ultimate dismay, none of these parts were actually in stock, they were just displaying the boxes. Seriously?! Don't display boxes on your shelves for parts that are not in stock. I felt bamboozled!

And as it turns out, they didn't even have thermal paste, a quintessential and very cheap item that is necessary for many tasks. If a PC shop can't even keep thermal paste in stock, it's not a place I would prefer to frequent. The other shop in the area had plenty, so it was not a supply issue. I will be taking my future business elsewhere.

Great Service, friendly people. Been having them work on computers for several years. They do repair, setup, and house calls.

Critical: Value I came to them for data retrieval. They refused to use the brand new, unopened flash drives that I brought in with me, and instead upcharged me for one of their in store flash drives. They took forever for retrieval and then lost the power cord to my laptop.

Very professional and personable is how I describe my last experience. Funny story I came in last week because needed a power cord for my computer, I recieved the wrong one and it was clear it didn't go with the type of PC I have.it was funny because It was given to me for free. Still a wonderful little shop with very friendly people

I had my laptop go down during COVID. It is a higher end, but older gaming laptop. I decided to go with Microtech, because they are a local business and close to home. When I dropped off my laptop the staff was straight forward, knowledgeable, and abided by all COVID precautions. The repair was a quick turn around, affordable, and effective. I have had no further issues with my laptop. I would recommend them to anyone with computer needs. It is great to have a local company that can be trusted.

My computer died on me - and of course at like the worst possible time. I randomly stopped at Microtech to see if they might be able to help me and they did quickly, nicely, and affordably. I was going to have to wait almost a week to *start* to get help via Apple, but Microtech fixed what I needed in just a little over 24 hours! I only had to go Apple to buy a new charger. Also, instead of telling me to buy a brand new battery, I was encouraged to go for the cheap one they'd refurbished that they happen to have in stock. They saved me quite a bit of money with that. So appreciated! I'm back in business and much relieved! I will definitely call on them again should I need.

Very disappointed-first wanted to know how much fix would cost so I could determine if it was time for new purchase. They called me and said it was done and the charge was 126.00, also throwing in they recommended a file review which could cost nothing or $100 more. I informed them I needed some time to decide if we were going to scrap it or purchase new.

I then showed up 2 weeks later to pick up charger-my son has same computer but we only have one charger. She informed me again of work performed and money owed. I told her it was in my ex-wife's hands at this point but I need the charger. She would not give me the charger. So now we have 2 computers that do not operate. They need to work on there listening skills, I would recommend a customer service seminar or hire someone who likes people, does not cut people off and understands how much it means to a business for having happy customers. Trust me they can do a lot for the growth of a business.

Called for something simple, a screw missing from my laptop, near the hinge. Without any explanation, the lady said it would be $100-$125 to fix this because they would have to open the case. First, it's a screw that goes in from the OUTSIDE of the case. No need to open it up. But in her rush to get another $100, she didn't even ask. I have used them before for repairs and was generally satisfied.

But anywhere near $100 to put another screw in? Seriously? I will remove its "twin" and get another at the hardware store, then install myself. How could you dare even suggest such an amount for this work? You have lost my business now and in the future. Plus any referrals I would have made. Places like this do not deserve to stay in business!

DO NOT GO HERE! I agree with everyone else. The technician Vince and manager Debbie were extremely misleading and quite inept in their ability to perform simple customer service. Not to mention fix a computer. I was told at the beginning when I brought in my computer I would get a free estimate so I brought it in. It had a cracked screen and he told me he would call me with with the estimate.

He called me a few days later and tried to sell me a computer they had in their shop. I politely declined and asked just to get mine fixed. He then went on to tell me it could take 14 weeks to get another screen. I said ok I wasn't really in a hurry. It seemed like they really just didn't want to fix it. I got a call 4 weeks later saying they had been sent the wrong screen and they would not be able to get the one I need.

I was told it would be impossible to get it fixed and I would be better off letting them "dispose" of it. When I went to get my computer back I was charged a $45 fee for absolutely nothing! Then they tried to give me a guilt trip saying they ate the shipping cost on the wrong screen they ordered. When I tried to resolve my problem with the manager Debbie she was absolutely useless and quite rude.

When I told her she was ripping me off and I should give her a bad review she raised the price to $127 until I promised her I wouldn't and had to beg for my computer back. Which made her feel better i guess she brought it back down to $45 I called around for 20 mins and found a shop that had the screen I need and it is currently being fixed! After being told it was impossible and I should just let them "dispose" of it. If you ask me these people are criminals and do not deserve to stay in business. Everyone should file a report with the BBB.

Brought them an almost 10 year old MacBook. Asked for them to give it life again. Dropped it off on a Wednesday and picked it up the following Friday. They installed a solid state hard drive as well as some additional Ram. Price was great and customer service was even better. Would def recommend this company.

They built my computer a few years ago. I have a no problems with it at all. On random occasions I have minor issues. Self inflicted. They have been more then helpful on working through the issues. Usually avoids the need to bring it in. Great customer service.

The customer service was great upon meeting them, but they failed to mention a 45 dollar fee to just look at it without doing anything, claimed they called four days ago when I have no messages or missed calls, and now want $125 just to open it up. Not even to fix the problem! Kind of a money pit, I was excited to get my computer fixed but now I'd rather figure it out myself.

I told the lady that, and was frankly informed "Well you won't know what you're doing, you're not a computer technician." From my experience, I'd say they don't know either!

DO NOT SHOP HERE. I bought a USB WiFi Adapter for my home computer last Monday. I live about 35 miles from the store but was in the area. WHAT A MISTAKE! I was assured that the "N" off name Adapter would connect as well as any other brand and not to worry. After living through 2 nights of intermittent low bandwidth connectivity I went to Best Buy and bought a Netgear Adapter which gave me 10x the performance and a constant connection.

Upon trying to return the Adapter today I was told I could have store credit only because lots of people use their adapters and then replace them from somewhere else and want to then get their money back. Huh Wonder why. I told them to keep the money since I would NEVER EVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! To sum it up: 1/ Miss-information at purchase 2/ Shoddy electronics 3/ Terrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and pass this place by.

I had a "blue screen" on my PC and Windows would not boot. I thought about taking it to one of the neighborhood guys who work out of their house and advertise by planting lawn signs on street corners. They may have been good too, but I decided to take mine to Microtech. I had valuable data that I needed to recover and I thought these guys would be my best bet.

The shop is very open and clean when you enter. The attention was right on the mark when I walked in. They addressed my concern about data loss and wrote up the order very promptly and gave me a quote of $99. I was told it would be a few days to hear from them. I think it was four days before I got a phone call with bad news. Despite his best efforts, he had been unable to boot my machine enough to save data and the hard drive was toast.

He told me he had some more things to try but would need to increase the quote to $200. A few days later he gave up. He did install a used hard drive and installed all of the basic software to function as a new computer. He gave my bad HD back to me and recommended a place in California that specializes in HD data recovery using a clean room. I really feel like he was very honest and tried his very best. I would certainly go back in the future.
