Sanford's Computerworks A dying or cracked display doesn't mean your laptop is a paperweight. For most laptops, replacing the screen is much more affordable than replacing the laptop, especially if you consider the time involved in moving your data and applications to a new unit. It is often difficult for small businesses to justify hiring someone to take care of their IT systems on a full-time basis when they have less than fifty PCs on their network. I have just received a phone call form someone claiming to be from Microsoft, who says that I have a virus which is sending information from my computer.

Took my brand new computer I custom built in to have them look at it. I could not get anything to display on monitor after windows failed to boot. I knew this was probably a driver issue and would be a simple fix. I dropped it off only to have a call 30 minutes later to be told my motherboard was toast and I had a bad ram stick. I knew right away I needed to have a second opinion when the young lady that helped me couldn't even really tell me how she came to this conclusion.

Also charged me $48 dollars and must not have tried very hard. I then left and went to somewhere else and found out there was nothing wrong with the computer at all. They finished the windows install while I waited and then even ran benchmark tests to make sure everything was running as it should. They had great customer service and only charged me $20.

Walked into this dungeon of an establishment looking for a simple cable. Finally after standing there waiting for awhile, someone crawled out of the back cave to help us. We asked the lady if they had it and all she said was "no". Fantastic. While Jeff Bezos is a flaming liberal and a fool, I understand why people choose to shop on amazon and get their product the next day, rather than shopping local. Would also recommend bringing a flashlight if you choose to shop here as they do not believe in lighting.

Came in today to get my laptop looked at (power port likely loose, frequently failing to charge). Kid looks at it, turns it on (NOT NECESSARY for checking power), then TURNS IT OFF by holding the power button down. I told him it doesn't always charge, not it's dead! I had been working on things on it and he basically hit the reset button for me with no reason or need to.

He then proceeded to tell me they WILL NOT do either of the two fixes that might be required. Thanks for nothing! I already was aware of what the probable fixes were (buy a new power cord, or resolder the power port to the motherboard), so I wasted time AND lost what I'd been working on because I brought my computer in. I'm now worse off than I was before I decided to bring it by.

I won't say to take your stuff to somewhere like Best Buy, because some of the techs there are even more clueless. What you need to do is learn to fix things yourself instead of bringing them somewhere like this. I only brought it here because I've got a time crunch and wasn't going to be able to fix this myself in the time I had available.

I have been buying used computer equipment (all they sell) from Sanford's for over 15 years while I was in my previous position. Recently, I bought a machine, 3 monitors, wireless keyboard. and mouse and upgraded to a SSD hard drive all because I asked Charles' advice and trusted him. I came in about 2-3 weeks ago and bought a Surface pro laptop based on his advice. Yesterday, when I called him and told him about its inability to accept a video card I had purchased, he offered no reasonable solution in my opinion. "Well that's because your computer is too old" (I bought it from his 8 months ago), "well can I swap I it out and pay for the upgrade?" I asked, "Well the trade in on that machine is $100, so." he said.

He didn't offer to help in any way, he was as cold as ice and arrogant as the day is long. I understand that I was buying a used machine, but I feel like it is his responsibility, if asked for his advice, to have full disclosure. What I mean is, Here is what I'm using it for, he gives advice, I say, "will there be any limitations", he says, "NO". That is a level of dishonesty and clear attempt to defraud a customer because of their lack of knowledge.

We all need advice from time to time, my reason form posting this, is that I felt like I asked all the right questions and was absolutely lied to. I was willing to pay and upgrade even though I didn't believe it was right. Charles basically gave me one option. Start over and buy another one. What was weird and the worst part, he kind of acted like it was a bad idea due to the upgrade price. Be careful of this place and do your research.

I gave them one star because I had to give them at least one star. Otherwise I'd give them NO star. I would not recommend them at all. They are not professional. I took my laptop in because I thought I needed to have the fan replaced. He first said it would cost $250 to replace the fan because he had to take the whole back off. Fine. I told him to go ahead and replace the fan.

He said "well I'm not going to do it right now. I have to order the fan" as if I was going to stand there and expect to see him replace the fan in front of my eyes. He then said I had to buy a new one. I got confused because we were talking about replacing the fan so I asked what he meant. He said "Do you have a hundred dollar bill?" When I said I don't, he said if you had a hundred dollar bill, it would be like lighting it.

Waste of your time. I had to ask him if he meant I should buy a new laptop. He then finally said yes. Why couldn't he have told me that at the beginning? First he acted like he would replace the fan then after the hundred dollar bill nonsense, he says I should buy a new laptop. There are other computer repair stores who would treat you like a customer. I'd find someone else.

These guys were phenomenal. I use their service twice and they've been able to help me identify the problem quickly within minutes of describing it to them. This last visit I was blown away and that I brought a PSU to them describing a problem which they immediately identified belonging to the graphics card. Additionally they loaned me a diagnostic tool free of charge to take home and used to determine if it actually was the card.

On top of this they charge me nothing for their free expertise even after returning the tool and confirming that they were correct. Full 10 out of 10 for these guys and I would highly recommend their service to one in need of assistance

You will not find a more helpful or knowledgeable group of people than the staff at Sanford's Computer works. I have been a customer of theirs for many years for both my business and personal needs. On the business side of things, we have had a very fast paced growth in the last 5 years and Sanford's was right there by our side recommending hardware and software upgrades to support our business.

In fact we would not be the company we are today with out their support. One of the best things about Sanford's is the fact that they are not salesmen; they are partners to their customers. You can present a problem or a direction you would like to go and they find a solution that fits your needs and budget, and never once have they tried to oversell us on something we did not need.

As with all computers and software there are problems that arise from time to time and every time we had an issue (every time) they were always willing and able to fix the issue in a timely manner to keep us up and running. You can go to a big box store or online store but you would be missing out on a lot of knowledge and service that Sanford's can offer.

On my personal dealings with, them no words can articulate how happy I have been with every aspect of their company. I have had 3 custom built machines from Sanford's and because I did my homework on performance verses price, I know I received twice the machine for half the money from anywhere and unmatched quality. If you want to deal with an honest business that has the goal to help their customers in every way possible, from new machines to rebuilt, to network design and parts these are the people to have on your side.

I have been dealing with Sanford's Computerworks since they opened their doors for business. I have been to Sanford's Computerworks numerous times and they have done a lot of work for me. I have purchased nearly every computer I own as well as most of my monitors and some of my printers from Sanford's Computerworks. I have checked pricing in the past and found their pricing to be very competitive.

The service at Sanford's Computerworks has never been anything but superb. I have dealt with different employees over the years as well as directly with the owner and I nearly refuse to take my computers anywhere else for service or repairs. I know when I get my computer back from Sanford's Computerworks it will just work. I have had them custom build machines for me and I have also purchased their used machines and every one of them has functioned flawlessly.

When I upgraded my office computer system last year I made a single trip to Sanford's Computerworks for my server, workstations, new printers and monitors and all the cabling and accessories I needed. Every thing was in stock and reasonably priced. Sanford's Computerworks has done remote support for me when I have had viruses and other computer problems and they have also set up and serviced my home and business networks.

When they set up a network they do many additional things that most shops overlook: things that will make a network work perfectly without disruption. With parts of my network being wireless I had my doubts but when they were finished with it it worked perfectly without a catch. These guys know what they are doing and they are the best at what they do.
