Horrible service. Dishonest people. Lies continuously. Very disorganized. Rip off! Don't be dumb! I made a huge mistake. Get away from there. No warranty. I will take my loss of $1300 as a lessons learned.

I hate to give bad reviews, but everyone thinking about using Tim's Computers should read the bad reviews on this site prior to making a decision on the good reviews. I bought a brand new Lenovo Computer there (4 months ago) that has not worked right since I bought it. It has been in the local shop twice and was fixed another time while I waited.

The fix lasted 2 days. I have been asking for a replacement but they refuse to replace it. Two weeks ago they decided to send it back to the factory for a "fix" and I called today and it's still at their location on Sherwood. Nothing progressed since I dropped it off. It's very simple, I made a huge mistake using Tim's Computers for my purchase.

I should have known better when I walked through the front door and had to dodge junk to get to the counter. Go check it out. Fred Sandford's junkyard looks better than Tim's place of business. I think I'll just take my lumps and go buy a new one elsewhere and let the credit card company fight the vendor. May have to because they probably lost mine in the mess. :) DON"T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! STAY AWAY FROM TIM's! Not BBB Certified.

2020: This is where I bring my computer problems. They've always fixed my computer. 2022 update with another RAVE: Love these guys/gals. Tim's Computer Repair in Baton Rouge is ALWAYS my go to for computer services. I've had at least 4 computers repaired over many years. Even when a desktop couldn't be repaired, they recovered ALL my data. Last night, my laptop jumped off the couch & fell on her head. The screen was inoperable. It took less than 5 minutes for the tech to bring her back to life. Thanks!

My custom built pc started shutting off and on I took it to the original builders they couldn't find the problem so after 6 weeks I decided to give someone else a shot get a 2nd opinion Tim's not only determined the problem! They were determined to fix the problem keeping me in the loop it'll be ready next week, The beginning of a new partnership going forward!

I bought a laptop from Tim and he uploaded by old laptop to the new one. He did so in a professional and timely manner. The laptop and service was very reasonable in price. Several weeks ago, I had a self caused problem for which I called Tim's and a service technician logged into my computer and fixed it 10 minutes. I have not had another problem since and there was no charge. My next computer purchase will be from Tim's!

I took a Dell laptop to Tim's Computers to have the right hinge repaired on 11-23-20. When you take a computer in for repair, would you have the expectation that all parts for your computer would be safe and secure during the repair? Apparently this is not the case at Tim's Computers. Today, the tech called me to tell me the repair would take longer because THEY CANNOT FIND MY HARD DRIVE.

I told him I wanted to speak with the owner, Tim, and the tech told me he was busy but he would give him a message to call me today. As of 5:12pm, I have not heard from anyone.

Tim knows his stuff. Hand down. I brought in a 25 year old DOS computer I'm restoring to play old games on. He had all the drivers and everything I needed to get it up and running. He hand made my autoexec.bat file which got my CD ROM and Mouse working in DOS so I could play an old Star Trek game. Friendly staff, even if the younger employee made fun of my antique hardware a bit; Good guys.

I wish I could leave a better review, but service here is atrocious. Tim is a cordial guy and legitimate seems to care about customers, but that doesn't seem to extend to his employees. But what hurts them the most is the lack of order or timeliness. They wasted 2 weeks of my time, had not even started, and had no clue when they would. The prices they charge are also ridiculously higher than other places with no reasonable explanation why. It's clearly not the service. Very unprofessional and incompetent.

They say don't judge a book by it's cover, but if a computer repair store is a dirty, chaotic mess, I say trust your instincts. While Tim is very friendly and seems professional, his staff certainly isn't. Their prices are very high as well for subpar service. Their timeframes change on the fly. You will go 2 weeks before they even look at your device, with no reasonable explanation as to why.

I had a fully functional 360 touchscreen laptop. I brought it to them because the corner of my screen popped out. 2 1/2 months later after them having countless excuses as to why they haven't finished, they said I could come get it. My touch screen doesn't work anymore, the mouse makes a clicking noise and is unresponsive sometimes(they told me I would need to buy an actual mouse), and a keyboard that they told me will stop working every few weeks, so I'd have to trouble shoot it. Terrible! I'd give 0 stars if I could.

I went to Tim's to have my laptop repaired. I'm relatively new to Baton Rouge, so I went by the ratings on Google and I'm glad I did. The tech who handled my repair (I think Brent) was excellent at communicating the problem and the solution. They allowed me to buy my own hard drive and installed it for me as well as as cloning my old hard drive. The staff are professional and courteous and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Tim's!

Been going to Tim's for several years now and have always been satisfied but my most recent visit saved my a$$. My laptop was flashing a battery low message forever. Well being the lazy laptop owner that I am I ignored it and because I mostly use a desktop I just forgot about it. Then realized I had a workshop coming up very soon where I would need my laptop so I rushed over to tim's expecting that I would have to leave it (but secretly hoping I wouldn't have to do that) and he remedied the problem on the spot.

He had a battery on site to switch out and he notified me that I needed to update my laptop badly so he gave me instructions on how to do. He got me right. Very thankful! And I also need to add that he was short staffed but did not use that as an excuse. He got my laptop to plugged up and got to problem solving.while helping other customers that came through the door.

I believe the only reason I'm giving two stars is because my device was done, but it happened within time. They had my computer for a little over a month and a half just to fix a screen. The bottom of my laptop was missing the rubber stand at the bottom, and my vent on the side was all sliced up into pieces. It's like they beat up my computer and didn't even think about telling me that they physically damaged it with no discount. Didn't notice me computer was beat up until after I paid $185 to get it. Save yourself and go to another repair shop. There's plenty in this area.
