Bought a computer from Lenovo which had a broken touchpad. Dealing with Lenovo was an absolute nightmare and they wouldn't replace my device. Brought my computer to CTS and they fixed it with no issues within 1 business day. No BS, just got the help I needed!

I have worked with Neal there and have been very satisfied. He has fixed several laptops for me and I have found their prices reasonable. I'm a repeat customer.

I live in New York City and own a Toshiba Satellite P50t laptop whose battery recently got cooked and as a result was having random hibernation fits. It was a built-in non-detachable battery. Upon contacting Toshiba, they directed me to Cavalier Technical Services (CTS) as their authorized service provider in Manhattan. Before I continue with the review, bear in mind that my laptop was out of warranty. Cavalier's service is excellent and they certainly do not waste your time.

Their labor cost, however, is the only setback at $100/hour. I have personally known other technicians on the island that charge as low as $40 an hour, but here is the difference though: even though both will not claim responsibility for their operations going south, Cavalier is an authorized Toshiba (among a plethora of other brands) service provider, which means the chances of failure are minimal to none.

The difference in price covers piece of mind you get knowing that these people are trained to deal with your device no matter how specific your situation is. That is not to mention that these official partners get preferential and expedited access to parts from your manufacturer. They also, however, overcharge for parts, as what I paid for the battery was significantly higher than its cost online plus shipping.

I dropped off my computer on Monday and they diagnosed its problem by the afternoon, the battery arrived Wednesday morning and my laptop was ready for pickup that same day at noon. One more thing you need to know is that if you have your device inspected and choose not to proceed with repairs, the mandatory minimum charge for the inspection is $85. To sum up, CTS's service is great, but at this price, you will have to weigh your options and make a judgement call.

Be aware. This company is completely incompetent. They lie about the hours worked. They over charge. But most importantly, they do not complete the job as hired. Kier, who is the sales person and/or owner (I am not sure if he owns) is arrogant and very rude. Please avoid this company at all costs. I assure you these are not good people. If you have any respect for your money do not spend it here. If you do not want to support bad people also don't spend it here.
